Where can I get PRP Injections?
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a new treatment for anti-aging facial rejuvenation, dental procedures, hair transplantation, ED Erectile Dysfunction Treatment for Me, FSD Femal Sexual Dysfunction Therapy, and for treatment of orthopedic conditions including sport injuries, muscle and joint injuries, faster healing after surgery and burns.
PRP Injections are drawn from your blood making any reactions and side effects from PRP Treatment less likely. Your blood is comprised of RBC red blood cells, WBC white blood cells, blood plasma, and platelets which are the major components of PRP shots used in PRP injection treatments.
Platelets are blood cells containing clotting and growth factors which are released during the healing process. With treatment, the platelets accelerate the healing process by the releasing the cells containing growth factors. Your blood serum Platelets have an average lifespan of 5–10 days and the procedure should be performed as soon as possible while the PRP injections are fresh.
A blood serum specimen usually contains only about 5% to 6% platelets whereas PRP injections contains a considerably higher concentration of platelets.
PRP injections are commonly prescribed for treating tendon, joint or muscle injuries, and inflammation such as tendonitis, rotor cuff tears, ACL knee tendon and ligament injuries, shoulder, hip, elbow and wrist injuries.
PRP injections have a success rate of about 75% to 85%. Multiple injections and 4 to 12 weeks may be required for complete PRP injection procedure healing.
PRP Therapy Procedure
Your PRP doctor draws 10 ml of blood from a vein in your elbow. The blood is centrifuged or spun at a high rate of speed to separate the platelets from other blood serum components. The entire separation process takes about 10 minutes. The platelet rich portion of the blood is then extracted and set aside for injection.
The PRP treatment area or injured part of the body is anesthetized with a local anaesthetic and PRP shot containing the platelets is injected into the affected area by your physician. Many procedures use ultrasound guidance to ensure the PRP shots reach the effected area. In some cases Stem Cells or HGH Human Growth Hormone may also be injected to promote even faster healing.
